Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met while on watch.
Verify effective operation of the plant including Balance of Plant equipment as needed based on defined procedures.
Respond to abnormal conditions in accordance with established processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
Communicate effectively with plant operators, shift supervisors, and managers as required.
Communicate with dispatch and transmission operator when required.
Complete all required training and qualifications including Safety, Environmental, Regulatory, Plant Simulator, and BOP training.
Remain alert and ready to respond during routine and abnormal situations.
Available to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Some coverage will be required to fill scheduled and unscheduled time off.
Completion of extensive in-house training program to become Control Room Operator qualified.
Advanced computer skills are required, including DCS (Ovation) & MS Office Suite with the ability to collect and evaluate data. 

Minimum Requirements

High School degree or equivalent education
Basic computer knowledge and three to seven years of operating and/or maintenance experience preferably as a power plant operator or Control Room Operator or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
