The Sr Data and Analytics Specialist will play a key role in strategic use of data and technology to drive critical business impacts through the delivering of data-driven solutions in the Global Drug Development function.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and associated data needs to help define data-driven solutions
Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources to prepare it for analysis
Define and perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data and initiate the communication of data-driven findings to product teams and key stakeholders to ensure business requirements can be met
Design, develop, and maintain data analytics solution to solve business problems, including but not limited to annotation, dashboard development, code development, troubleshooting, refactoring, unit testing, integration testing, result validation, code packaging, dockerization, and documentation
Build ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable tools to automate/streamline data analytics solution
Document work and maintain accurate records of data sources, methods, and results
Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to share learnings and accomplishments
Provide code review for other colleagues to ensure work is delivered to robust quality standards
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to workflows and procedures
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with emerging trends in data science area and apply where appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
Requires knowledge applicable to a wide range of work in data & analytics and demonstrates mastery in data & analytics skillsets such as data provisioning, data mining, data visualization, machine learning, code development in python/R
Demonstrates ability to utilize critical thinking skills to create and maintain designs/plans, troubleshoot issues within project/task, offer insights on more complex team scoping efforts under minimal supervision
Packages information and data that tells a story and provides insight to a broader problem. Presents and explains the implications of key information on issues important to the business unit.
