OVERVIEW

It is our Mission in North America Foodservice to be the undisputed leader in away from home food by building brands through business-to-business (B2B) marketing.  The NAF Channel Marketing team is charged with illuminating where to play and how to win in selling channels and has ownership of the holistic go-to-market strategy. We use our deep Operator knowledge to develop strategies, plans and solutions to grow our business and help our customer thrive, now and in the future.  

The K-12 channel is critical to delivering the mission and we are looking for a Senior Associate Marketing Manager to lead in this space.  Our K-12 work has an impact on students and communities across the country, and this team is on a mission to ensure every child is well-fed and ready to learn, grow, and succeed.

The role provides opportunities to define and shape growth strategies for a dynamic channel with a diverse and fun set of customers that provide significant growth potential for our General Mills products and brands.  You will lead and collaborate heavily with cross functional teams to ensure that the strategy and plans are beating expectations for the segment.  You will have accountability for marketing leadership of the $300MM+ RNS K-12 channel, being the face of K-12 marketing to school operators, the plans process, and go to market success.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Deliver PNL: Lead LRP development, set vision, and identify growth strategies and 12Q flow needed to unlock longer term K-12 growth
Strategic Leadership: Lead the annual plans process for K-12, collaborating cross functionally to define where to play, how to win, and the activation plans across the 4Ps
Marketing Team Leadership: You will provide oversight of the K12 Sr. Marketing Associate and partner closely with Platform, Sales, Culinary, and BX to drive the K-12 business to differential growth in F24 and beyond.
Channel Campaign Strategy: Partner closely with Brand Experience through brief development, creative process, and execution to ensure our external presence aligns to our K-12 Channel strategy and mission.
Portfolio Strategy: Partner with Platform Marketing and cross functional partners to strengthen business through insight and action and to ensure there is innovation pipeline sufficiency across our product portfolio for the duration of the LRP (full 12Q pipeline) and that we are setup to deliver long-term share growth in key categories like Cereal, Yogurt, Frozen Breakfast, and Biscuits.
Customer Development: Partner closely with Foodservice sales to amplify channel strategy, plan, and product launches. Lead and attend Industry events and customer meetings as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree
5 years related business experience
Team Leadership – able to lead, inspire, effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strategic Thinking – able to diagnose business problems and develop winning strategies and ideas
Strong ability to manage and prioritize through ambiguity across multiple complex projects
Ability to work across multiple levels including senior leadership both internally and externally
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years related experience
Strong analytic ability to translate data into meaningful insights and action
Ability to determine effective use across the 4Ps to achieve strategy and goals
Understand how Sales organization operates, including customer interaction & sales planning
Entrepreneurial Mindset – Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, dynamic environment
