We are seeking talent for an opportunity in our Portland, OR location in the Heart Failure Division.

You will be supporting the process development, validation, and sustaining operations of sub-components manufactured for Abbott medical devices. You will establish project plans and coordinate with a cross-functional team to meet project objectives and cost improvement initiatives, while maintaining and improving upon product cost, quality, and safety.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Management of process development, sustaining, and compliance projects.
Identify, scope, plan and conduct medium-size to complex assigned projects.
Direct the work of project team members, set goals and objectives, monitor progress on tasks.
Communicate project progress and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
Interact cross-functionally, with internal customers and external contractors to complete project deliverables with extended scope and duties.
Cultivate an internal and external network of resources.
Analyze and solve problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 5 years related work experience in project management
Proven strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Self-motivated, results focused, and resourceful individual, who can work with minimal direction

PREFERRED (OUR “NICE TO HAVE”, BUT WE WILL STILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE THESE)

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial)
Work Experience in a highly-regulated industry (e.g. medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or defense)
PMP Certification
