Capital One is seeking a Market Research Senior Associate with strong organizational skills and deep interest in the research field to join our Enterprise Brand Insights team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide consumer insights that inform decisions related to marketing, advertising, and brand-building strategies for a key line of business.

As a valued member of the team, you will … 

Contribute to the design and execution of multiple research initiatives, including Brand Health and Advertising research programs, in-market creative and media effectiveness studies, and associated learning agendas.

Work with research vendors in the planning, execution and analysis of market research, including design and review of research materials (e.g., surveys, discussion guides, reports), data analysis and report creation.

Perform data pulls and ad-hoc analyses to inform key business decisions, as well as managing the overall quality and timing of ongoing projects.

Leverage and integrate primary research, secondary sources, behavioral data, and marketplace intelligence to generate impactful insights that inform business and marketing strategies.

Partner with multiple internal stakeholders, including advertising, media, business and marketing teams, to understand their research needs 

Present brand and marketing insights to internal clients and leaders, influencing others through storytelling and impactful insights that drive discussion and business action.

Continuously evolve your knowledge of evidence-based marketing and marketing research to act as a subject matter expert for business partners 

What you will bring to the team … 

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to read and interpret research results, identify insights, and synthesize how these insights impact marketing strategy

Strong writing and presentation skills, with outstanding communication skills and experience simplifying complex subject matter to present actionable insights in a compelling way through effective design and data visualizations

Curious, self-motivated and entrepreneurial – comfortable with white space and interested in proactively proposing and pursuing new research projects to address partner questions

Extensive knowledge of market research best practices, including sample and methodological design , questionnaire design and analysis of results.

Basic Qualifications  

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

At least 3 years of experience in a primary research role on either the supplier side or client side 

At least 3 years of experience in the execution of market research projects

Preferred Qualifications  

5+ years of experience in a primary research role on either the supplier side or client side within the marketing research profession

At least 2 years of experience with brand health studies and advertising research

Experience in the financial services industry

Experience in a client facing consultative role 

Experience in Market Research vendor management

Advanced familiarity with basic-level statistics (frequencies, t-tests, etc.)
