Job Description

Execute Honeywell IT strategies to facilitate effective deployment of new business systems to improve Honeywell business results. As a GDM Solution Architect (GMPO), you will be the liaison between the business and IT solutions to define customer requirements for deployment of new business applications. You will support process redesign and provide training to users to facilitate rapid adoption to applications. Your technical and project management skills will be key to ensuring delivery of highly effective solutions that improve IT user experience.

Responsible for Enterprise Global Project Management Office (GPMO) solution, business requirement translation to implementable use cases as per SBG GPMO processes, presented as "customer facing" story points
Accountable for maturing the Engineering business requirements, driving first pass yield (99%) on quality and driving down rework
Lead functional documentation design and development (use cases, functional specifications, reports, screen prototypes)
Visualize outputs of the system and ensure its defined and developed as per stakeholder expectations and VOC
Escalate gaps and issues proactively in system definition, output definition and quality requirements
Participates in fit/gap analysis of functional requirements and CORA PPM features
Drive harmonization and deployment of Global Design Model (GDM) solution across SBGs, providing guidelines and identifying best practices to SBG stakeholders
Work with SBG IT and business focal to create approved baselines of processes prior to initiating configurations in the CORA PPM
Act as a primary SME liaison between business users, IT project team and CORA on the GPMO process
Elicit non-functional requirements including performance and security at early stages, ensuring a robust system is planned and built
Facilitate functional requirements walkthroughs and respond to Test and other functional teams questions from implementation and validation perspectives
Work closely with Project Manager, Architects, Developers, Test team, business users/stake holders and applicable outside entities ensuring the program is successful
Drive configuration discussions against customization, ensure off the shelf features are used to the fullest extent
Contribute to development of user guides, reference manuals, training materials and code release artifacts as appropriate
Participate in change management activities. Enable the Change Manager decisions with logical reasoning, data and facts supporting the change
Ensure stakeholders sign-off on requirements during stage gate processes
Carry out acceptance test prior to acceptance delivery to stakeholders and finally customers
Verify business value of the solution, carry out corrective and improvement actions working with leadership and key stakeholders

Must Have Skills: 

Candidate with Graduation and have large scale IT implementation skills
6 to10 years of overall experience in software product development, 5 years in business analysis / process digitization 
5 to 6 years of knowledge in Implementation and Solution Design of PPM platform / CORA PPM or equivalent PPM solutions (Planview, Clarity, HP PPM, Accolade, Planisware)
Knowledgeable in PMO process / certified project management professional
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to Have Skills: 

Master Degree in business administration
Knowledge on US export controlled and CONUS region security requirements
Knowledge on scheduling requirements for US government contracts
ERP Domain Knowledge (SAP, Oracle etc)
