Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and insight on the use of various data sources to design and develop data visualization solutions. In this role, you will lead processes for verifying dashboards  to ensure information is accurate and descriptive of the data, and that they fulfill the business need.

The Business Intelligence – Data Engineer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Develop optimized reporting timelines and requirements.
Develop and implement best practices to gather data and information for reports to be presented to internal and/or external stakeholders.
Implement best approach to design and produce reports using information gathered.
Work with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business or regulatory need.
Review reports for accuracy and timeliness, provide insightful analysis, and explain reporting results.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

4 years of experience in designing and developing dashboards in data visualization tools – Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx
2 years of experience in cloud data warehouse solutions – Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Google Cloud BigQuery
Hands-on experience in custom ETL languages – Python, R, Java
4 years of experience in Microsoft 365 products – Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Desired Experiences

Bachelor degree or equivalent
Understanding of Operational Risk data
Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand

This segment also issues structured MBS backed by Fannie Mae multifamily MBS; buys and sells multifamily agency mortgage-backed securities; and offers delegated underwriting and servicing, as well as multifamily mortgage, and credit risk and loss management services. The company serves mortgage banking companies, savings and loan associations, savings banks, commercial banks, credit unions, community banks, specialty servicers, insurance companies, and state and local housing finance agencies. Federal National Mortgage Association was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Washington, the District of Columbia.
