People Analytics Senior Data Analyst (Remote)

Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will assess customer requests and collaborate with your team to determine solutions to solve business needs, use applications and BI tools to explore and understand data, and provide BI insights and solutions. In collaboration with the People Analytics Consulting, Analytics and Modeling, and Reporting teams, you will empower stakeholders with data products, analyses, and insights to support evidenced based decision making.

The People Analytics Senior Data Analyst role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Contribute to designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) products.
Create automated business processes and mechanisms to generate meaningful insights to help us deliver on Fannie Mae's vision and purpose.
Analyze data to drive business decision-making capabilities.
Contribute to identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems, including developing and implementing requirements for new features and enhancements.
Attend meetings to discuss and identify customer needs and strive to do what is right for our customers.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with Human Resources and data engineering partners.
Track and troubleshoot problems with applications, systems, and tools in the production environment to ensure continued and efficient operation.
Assess procedures and business processes in an operations unit for methods of automating them or improving existing applications supporting them.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

2 years related experience in data visualization and data architecture
Skilled in Tableau
Skilled in SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL, T-SQL)

Desired Experiences

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  
Experience with extract, transform, and load data output
Familiarity with AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS)
Experience solving complex data related problems and developing sustainable solutions
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute programs or projects
Experience working with HR people data (e.g., headcount, attrition, time to hire, learner engagement)
Strong relationship management skills
Commitment to continuous improvement and learning

The company serves mortgage banking companies, savings and loan associations, savings banks, commercial banks, credit unions, community banks, specialty servicers, insurance companies, and state and local housing finance agencies. Federal National Mortgage Association was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Washington, the District of Columbia.
