Job Description

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance of facility and equipment, lock-out tag-out, trouble shooting, repairs and safety action items.

Reports to: Value Stream Manager

Scope/Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.

Performs preventative maintenance of facility and equipment; lock-out tag-out, trouble shooting, repairs and safety action items.
Performs general maintenance of shop floor.
Maintains spare parts inventory.
Responsible for trouble shooting all equipment.
Uses hand tools, presses, variety of test stands and fixtures.
Works from prints, lists, work orders, instructions (verbal and written), and various established procedures.
Provides training as needed to other employees in the department.
Responsible for P-Card Budget management.
Responsible for correcting all safety actions items.
Follows all safety and housekeeping rules and procedures.
Adheres to the quality management system.
Maintains an active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Qualifications:

Forklift certified.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley Software.
Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
Basic Electrical knowledge.
Mechanically competent.
Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent:       Walking, Reaching Outward, Bending, Lifting 10-50 lbs.,
Constant:        Handling/Gripping, Standing, Lifting 10-20 lbs.,
Occasionally:  Push/Pull 12-25 lbs.

Vision:   Must have the ability to see near/distance/color.
Sense of Touch.

Temperature:       Good. Air conditioning and heat supplied for entire plant.
Floor Condition:  Good.  Rubber mats provided. Areas are clean and non-hazardous.
Work Space:        Good. Uncluttered (5-S implemented)
Hazards:               None.
