The Internal Audit Senior Analytics Associate will work within the Internal Audit team to pull, test, and analyze key systems and tools data.
The ideal candidate should have strong data analytics, SQL, and data visualization skills. In addition, the candidate should have working knowledge of BSA/AML compliance, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and customer risk rating.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
As a part of a global internal audit team you will be working to execute operational audits.
Responsible for supporting Coinbase’s internal audit plan through the execution of financial, operational and compliance related audits from beginning to end. Key activities include audit planning, stakeholder management, fieldwork execution, reporting and validation of remediated audit findings
Responsible for reviewing documents, executing testing, documenting work papers and drafting reports.
Responsible for mapping processes and confirming design effectiveness of internal controls.
Develop and improve metrics and dashboards measuring system performance.
Perform data analysis in order to test design and operational effectiveness of key compliance controls.
Perform testing of system changes and detail the results of testing.
Test data ETL (extraction, transformation and load) from upstream production systems into the data repository, and from the data repository into Compliance Tools.
Build metrics and reports for internal Audit.
Produce system performance metrics dashboards, reports and extracts as required.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
3+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent analytical skills; strong SQL and data visualization skills.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements development, system design, development, testing and production launch.
Understanding of BSA/AML compliance program, AML transaction monitoring and screening (Sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media) controls.
Ability to optimally collaborate in a cross-functional environment and under minimal direction.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
