WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

--Not limited to listed locations--

This position is open to anyone near cities where HNTB has an office location.

The candidate will be working within HNTB’s national Digital Innovation Group as a manager of our GIS/Geospatial solutions team. Comprised of business analysts, GIS developers, planners and engineers, this team works on the largest and most complex transportation projects in the US.

The successful candidate must a creative problem solver to use a variety of off-the-shelf and/or custom solutions to deliver projects in efficient, innovative manners. The types of solutions we configure and develop include enterprise GIS solutions, applications, and databases and coordinates with HNTB client's server and data warehouses to support and develop digital innovation solutions with a geospatial focus. Ideal candidates are also familiar with and have experience in architecting and deploying cloud services from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure as part of GIS delivery.

This position must demonstrate significant experience and knowledge in the delivery of projects and management of a team to provide:

Proven experience utilizing, developing, configuring and delivering the Esri platform for transportation solutions

Proven experience managing a team of 6 or more GIS/Geospatial data analysts, solution developers, and system architects

Proven experience developing and delivering scripting, automation or ETL using python, JavaScript, arcade, notebooks or FME

Proven experience presenting, messaging, and good oral and written abilities toward the value and adoption of GIS/Geospatial in transportation

What You’ll Do:

Provides technical and operational supervision to a section of information technology professionals.

Ensures that the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets for the section are met.

Ensures employee development, training and performance management of staff.

Responsible for revenue generation and HNTB’s 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction on every project) delivery for projects for the section.

Builds strong client relationships with new and existing clients, leveraging those relationships to generate opportunities for new work.

Develops, reviews and approves scope and fee estimates for work performed by the group.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree

12 years project management related experience and 2 years supervisory experience

In lieu of education, 16 years project management related experience and 2 years supervisory experience

What We Prefer:

GISP, PMP Certification and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Project & Resource Management Skills

Solid Analytics and Reporting skills using MS Office

Ability to manage staff on small to large projects

Experience with Customer/Stakeholder Mgmt., Analysis/Problem Solving, Communication and Process Orientation
