What Will You Will Be Responsible For?

Regularly communicate and coordinate with over-the-road and local truck drivers regarding dock assignments and pick up appointments.
Tender customer orders and change orders to carriers, as required.
Monitor shipping schedule for past due shipments, notifying appropriate individuals when required.
Expedite all open orders to ensure timely delivery.
Assist with processing miscellaneous inbound receipts to the plant.
Participate in physical inventories, as requested by management.
Originate records, files and reconciles information;  originate and  distribute various reports under the direction of management.
Frequently interact with plant personnel, by phone and in person, to resolve concerns and answer questions.
Work in both office and manufacturing environments;  act in accordance with established job safety practices, policies and procedures for the safe performance of the work environment.
Abide by  environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes.
Work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management; While the regular working cycle of this position is usually five days on (Monday-Friday), may be required to work working weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, the company and with customers and carriers.    Including acting with integrity and manage stress in a positive manner to maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
Performs other assignments as directed.

What You Will Need

Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school or work-related experience.
Minimum 2 years of job related experience.
Experience with data processing, filing, accounting, carrier dispatching. 
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
Maintain professional competence and ethical integrity.
