Job Description

In conjunction with a High School machine trades program, the Machining Student Associate will work within the Dayton Machining department to gain hands on exposure to various machining and inspection processes. 

Learns to successfully operate standard machining equipment
Learns to perform inspection requirements
Participate in activities focused on process improvement to eliminate wasted time, motion, space and materials
Actively participates in LEAN projects and activities
Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
Other assignments as required

Must be currently enrolled in Precision Machining Pre-Apprentice Program through Miami Valley CTC.
Must be starting senior year of high school in the fall of 2023.
Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
Must be dependable and able to work agreed to work schedule  
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with supervision
Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.
Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook
