SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position provides overall team leadership for Fiber/Utilities, Family Care (FC), Kimberly-Clark Professional (K-CP) Product Systems Maintenance functions. These functions support the areas safety, quality, cost, productivity, continuous improvement, housekeeping, good manufacturing practices (GMP), internal control, asset management, customer service, human resources and team capability development. Incumbent will set objectives that will have a direct and significant impact on plant and sector results and in the delivery of customer service for FC and K-CP.

Leads Reliability Teams – 4-6 salaried, 60-80 hourly direct reports
Partnerships –
Internal to Mill – Mill Management Team, all Mill Associates, Mill Support Functions External to Mill– Reliability Leaders across network, supply chain and other cross functional teams within K-CP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:
Ensures safety of people, processes, and equipment are at the forefront of all work.
Support the loss control improvement process by championing and complying with critical safety rules.

Leads the overall human resource strategy to engage and enable team members to contribute to their full potential through coaching, training, succession planning/career development and performance management.
Ensure successful deployment of corporate maintenance programs.

Lead with high expectations around safety and team support.
Establish clear and concise strategic goals; and assign the resources and priorities to achieve those goals.
Delivery/Cost:
Identify cost savings opportunities and manage expense spending to unit budget limits.
Lead site reliability strategy to progress reliability best practices to achieve benchmarking spending and delay targets.
Efficiently and effectively deploy internal and external maintenance resources to accomplish project objectives.
Reinforces and leads the execution of standards, standard work and OPEX processes.
Use effective business communication appropriately with all stakeholders, corporate support teams, employees and external contacts.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, related discipline is preferred however relevant work experience is highly desirable.
A minimum of 10 years industrial experience, including experience in a management role
Experience in a variety of mill and staff assignments
Cross-functional experience (research, engineering, operations, OPEX/CI, reliability, etc.) is preferred
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members for career development and performance improvement
Incumbent would possess demonstrated ability to organize, influence and lead a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.
Work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions:
Normal scheduled hours will vary based on the need to support a 24/7 Operation.
Flexibility to travel up to 15% for benchmarking and best practice sharing across KCNA.
