Position Summary:

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.  This position will support a U.S. Government customer in the area of operations and maintenance of facility infrastructure automation systems in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities:

Industrial Control Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Manage and support the operation and maintenance of client facility infrastructure automation systems.
Ensure systems are functional and available while looking for ways to make improvements using the latest technology and best implementation strategies.
Analyze and recommend improvements to system scalability and performance as the client adds devices to their controls portfolio.
Respond to control system alerts and assist client operations and maintenance contractor with troubleshooting.
Oversee the development of graphics and reports for the system front-end (GUI/HMI), including ensuring uninterrupted communication between the field devices and the monitoring system across a wide variety of client building automation control systems. 

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field from an accredited institution, with nine years of professional experience related to the position responsibilities, or, MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field from an accredited institution, with seven years of professional experience related to the position responsibilities, or, in lieu of a degree, fifteen years of professional experience related to the position responsibilities.
Experience with IT systems administration, network architecture, and network protocols related to Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA).
Experience with analog and digital control systems for facility infrastructure automation systems.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Ability to comprehend, design, and build IT networks and control systems.
This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain.
Must be a United States Citizen.
Can consider candidates with active TS clearance who are open to clearance upgrade, but prefer candidates who possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph
Must be comfortable working in cleared facilities
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have ability to work with cross-functional and diverse teams.
Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess a Professional Engineering License.
Master's degree in Engineering.
Experience with the design, integration, and management of SCADA systems technology using PLC networks.
Experience with industrial-grade distributed control systems (DCS).
Experience implementing cybersecurity requirements for Industrial Control Systems.
Extensive working knowledge of engineering tasks, codes, and standards, as related to Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
Proficiency in Configuration Management practices and policies.
Intermediate to Advanced Industrial Control System and network design skills (including networking and communication protocols).
Intermediate to Advanced Industrial Control System programming skills.
