Basic Function:

Responsible for the maintenance, preventive maintenance and general upkeep of various hydraulic and pneumatic machines, fork trucks and other equipment. Responsible for the general maintenance of the building.

Scope/Supervision:

Duties will be performed in a warehouse environment, under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Perform various warehouse maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
o Preventive maintenance and associate record keeping for ISO compliance
o Repair of various types of hydraulic/pneumatic equipment: saw, crimper, tag machine, proof-tester, solvent flusher, various types of forklifts, etc.
o Research to find parts for older machines
o Use and trouble shoot various computer based programs
o Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance procedures
o Find creative LEAN solutions to process and/or equipment issues
o Insure the grounds, the parking lot and sidewalks are clean and safe even in winter
• Work in fast paced environment and juggle multiple urgent projects
• Must be a team player and get along with all types of people
• Must be self-motivated and work efficiently with little guidance
• Perform all responsibilities in a safe manner observing all safety requirements
• Actively support the Corporate Win Strategy
• Perform other related responsibilities

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and 2 years experience repairing machines in a manufacturing environment
• High school graduate, mechanical certificates are a plus
• Ability to fabricate or modify existing machines and fixtures
• Hydraulic and pneumatic background with ability to fix new and older equipment
• Electrical skills
• Welding skills
• General preventative maintenance experience
• General air conditioning skills
• General plumbing skills
• General computer skills, operating and troubleshooting
• Read and interpret written instructions
• Work 8 hours per day, Monday – Friday (daily and weekend overtime may be scheduled as necessary and could be on a voluntary or mandatory basis, based on business needs)

• Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to take apart heavy machines in order to modify or replace. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally required to assist in dual lifts or lifting equipment of up to 150 pounds. The employee will commonly lift and/or carry objects weighing 20-50 pounds. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle product, pull or push product/equipment, reach with hands and arms, occasionally be required to bend, twist, sit and stoop. Ability to frequently go from standing to kneeling and stay on your knees for long periods of time. Occasionally will be required to climb (stairs and/or ladders). The employee will frequently be required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. • Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, humidity and dust. The employee will frequently work on or around moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. The employee will frequently work with deadlines under pressure and will occasionally be required to work alone.
