Sr Specialist - Remedy Developer

Job Description

Summary

The Remedy Developer will deliver enhancements to the ITSM suite, provide complex Service Request form development, and build and maintain integrations into the Atrium CMDB.  This position will work closely with the IT Asset Management team and expand and improve upon our existing Asset Management framework.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ITSM Support:

Upgrade and maintain existing ITSM system, including custom code.
Able to support Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Work Order ITSM modules.
Support Smart IT and Digital Workplace.
Maintain foundation data as needed within the system.
Create complex Service Request Management forms.
Provide end-user support and help provide guidance on process improvement.
Develop SQL for both Remedy and reporting purposes.
Participate in on-call rotation

CMDB and Asset Management Support:

Create and improve upon existing integrations leveraging AR System development, Atrium Integrator (Pentaho), REST APIs, PowerShell scripts, and other toolsets as needed.
Support Atrium CMDB back-end functionality such as Normalization, Reconciliation, etc.
Working with the ITAM team, establish best practices for IT Asset Management and implement Software Asset Management functionality.
Provide backup support to BMC Discovery lead.

Other Duties:

Provide clear documentation of work, as well as guide users to establishing requirements based on best practices.
Deliver one on one end user training and support for ITIL processes as implemented in the Remedy ITSM system.
Able to work within established software development lifecycle methodologies within a team setting.
Capable of solving complex problems by understanding user requirements and following through with thorough, well-tested solutions.
Perform testing and deployment to production following best practices.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
Five or more years experience in configuring, installing, and development of BMC Remedy ITSM, or a similar ITSM platform.
Five or more years experience working with RDBMS systems, preferrably MS-SQL Server as a developer.
Able to work within established software development lifecycle methodologies within a team setting.
Capable of solving complex problems by understanding user requirements and following through with thorough, well-tested solutions.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Usually, normal in office working conditions. 
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 
Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Energy Transfer LP provides energy-related services in the United States and China. The company owns and operates approximately 9,400 miles of natural gas transportation pipelines and three natural gas storage facilities in Texas; and approximately 12,200 miles of interstate natural gas pipelines. It sells natural gas to electric utilities, independent power plants, local distribution companies, industrial end-users, and other marketing companies.
