Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Microsoft Skype/Teams Engineer to help support our Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS). This is full-time remote position. PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon an upcoming contract award, with a tentative award date in early Summer.
The Microsoft Skype/Teams Engineer will perform administrative support for on-premises domain and office productivity services as well as cloud administration of a Microsoft Office 365 tenant and services. The Microsoft Skype/Teams Engineer will partner closely with the SPO engineer and technologists around the architecture, implementation, and documentation of the cloud solution. This role will focus on the following technology areas: Microsoft Skype and Teams.The Microsoft Skype/Teams Engineer will provide architectural design support for UC solutions with the development, design, integration, and implementation of enterprise solutions. This role will provide M365 solutions to support the network to include remediation, services monitoring and troubleshooting, deployment planning, coordination, and implementation, development and modification of project plans, standard processes, advanced desktop and infrastructure troubleshooting and superior customer service skills. The Microsoft Skype/Teams Engineer also performs quality assurance checks of the UC telecommunications design and development, is responsible for the design, deployment and support of required components and servers, and provides UC engineering functions associated with planning, testing, analyzing, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the Skype and Teams applications.

Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years of Network Engineering experience
3+ years of Cloud Service experience; additional experience / certifications may be considered in place of education.
Must possess prior experience as a Network Operations Engineer and/or a UC Engineer.
Expertise of information technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
Solid background in M365 solutions to support the network to include remediation, services monitoring and troubleshooting, deployment planning, coordination, and implementation, development and modification of project plans, standard processes, advanced desktop and infrastructure troubleshooting and superior customer service skills.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Skype.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Teams.
Experience with hybrid and cloud service delivery models.
Expertise in cloud service delivery network models.
Experience with MS Office 365 design, deployment, and migration and integration with collaboration systems.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Ability to perform exceptionally in a small team environment
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with managed service delivery models.
