Overview
This position is for the Industrial Engineering Advanced Manufacturing Technology Team to lead Electric Boats Extended Reality (xR) efforts. This position will provide the oversight and integration of EBs xR initiatives including Augment Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Assisted Reality (aR) efforts {Defined below}. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with cutting edge technology, and its implementation into production.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the research, development and implementation of xR tools for use in production at both Quonset Point (QP) and Groton (Gtn) sites.
Successful candidates responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Development and execution of an enterprise xR strategy
Identify optimal xR candidates and use cases with appropriate ROI calculation
Develop and institutionalize xR capabilities including hardware, software and processes
Work with EB Organizations to align functionality with desired need
Develop and coordinate training for the xR applications
Lead Production Pilots to prove out the functionality of xR tools and verify cost and schedule benefits
Resolving real time issues as items go into production
Briefings and presentations to all levels of management and external costumers
xR Project Management of internal and external AR/VR/xR efforts (e.g. ManTech, AMR, M&PE, ITPMO and Dfa CRD projects)
Lead IT PMO task(s) to production xR tools and network connectivity
Manage xR Technology working group and xR Roadmap

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Manufacturing and/or construction experience
Previous project management experience
Desired:
Advanced Degree
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certified
Knowledge of the EB IT PMO process and POCs
Previous experience with IT development (e.g. UI and/or app development, agile software development )
