Description:

Candidate will serve as an Operations Surveillance Analyst supporting a specific Groton Operations discipline (Structural). This position will be responsible for various small projects to support Discipline Steering Team goals and objectives. In addition, this position will help coordinate/facilitate surveillances for the assigned disciplines Groton management team as well as help assess/evaluate the disciplines level status of the Quality Roadmap. This position will provide project management, problem resolution, and facilitation experience as well as technical knowledge for the assigned discipline. This position will be required to spend 25-50% of their time on the deck plate supporting Managers and General Foreman (as needed).

Qualifications

Required:

-Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to work independently and support newly developing programs

-A minimum of 5 years of related experience in Operations, Quality, or Engineering

Preferred:

-Experience with structural welding processes

-Experience performing in-process surveillances

-Experience with process improvement initiatives

-Bachelors Degree

-Understanding of how Groton Operations schedules their work and/or prior Navy experience
