Job Summary:

As a Principal Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineer you’re responsible for all aspects of RAM / FRACAS activity within the Raytheon Missiles & Defense business unit. In this role you’ll ensure the performance compliance of both customer and internal requirements.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Assess RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao)
• Define/allocate RAM requirements
• Perform Reliability & Maintainability predictions
• Perform Reliability modeling
• Perform Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
• Perform FRACAS tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations
• Leading FRACAS Events Review Boards (FERBs) and Failure Investigations
• Support Reliability Test Planning and Execution: Accelerated, Growth, Demonstration
• Ensure performance compliance to requirements
• Interpreting data and analyzing results
• Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Reliability and FRACAS work
This role is posted as Hybrid. Commuting costs to and from the Portsmouth, RI RTX facility are the responsibility of the incumbent.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
Employment Experience:
Engineering experience
Experience with reliability analysis, failure investigations, and/or root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
Experience in gathering, analyzing and/or presenting data
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
