Arrow Electronics is hiring a Project Manager of Supply Chain Systems. This role would be responsible for facilitating our build, management, and execution of LMS (Labor Management System) enhancements. The Project Manager of Supply Chain Systems will focus in identifying and managing interdependencies between LMS releases, re-writing of the LMS tool, and realignments for our outbound shipping processes. The incumbent will spearhead the management of projects, ensure timelines, meet with vendors, and manage project budgets.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
Actively participate in the implementation of global customer base strategies through prioritized market needs
Work with various Business Unit leaders to identify customer support models and develop plans
Facilitate regional coordination and manage internal/external support
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Develop tools and analytics to support quoting and developing the necessary footprint to support growth and optimization opportunities. This would include space and capacity models, and a standardized cost model
Ensure project timelines, budget, and set deadlines are met
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Milestone Reviews
Coordinate and arrange training on tools as it relates to the value of Arrow's offerings; and supply chain needs to internal teams such as sales as well as external customers
Weekly Release Reporting
Plan and manage all agreed release activities and the release calendar including infrastructure, environments, and data center activities
Coordinate / communicate with other Digital Business Units & Core IT as necessary
Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
Participate in the co-ordination of Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
Own the execution of Go-Live activities and schedule
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, feature flags and flag status; and notification lists
Perform post-mortem reviews to identify root causes of release issues and to continuously improve the process
Often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff
Works independently, supporting the business globally in various time-zones
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or related field
5-10 years of solid project management experience
Experience within LMS systems a benefit
Formal training in project management practices preferred
PMP Certification a plus
Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma preferred
Experience with Kaizen events preferred
Advanced knowledge of software/LMS development lifecycle & Microsoft Projects
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective collaboration and analytical skills
