This position works out of our BAY AREA, AUSTIN, BEND, OR ORLANDO location in Lingo.

You will be part of an agile development team and translate design and build web apps and API services to support Lingo’s go to market strategy. You will help to build content management, e-commerce and integration services across several web properties using a range for frontend and backend technologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Design and build responsive websites and prototypes that adhere to the provided technical specifications and approved design
Collaborate with cross functional teams to build end-to-end solutions, implementing the most meaningful designs and functionality
Create rich, compelling user interfaces using the most modern technologies
Create services and applications to leverage the interoperability and syndication of web content and e-commerce services
Optimize the performance of web pages for speed and SEO
Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types

QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer; broad experience in building modern JavaScript-based applications
Solid frontend expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Solid experience in Node.js, NPM, React, exposure to Next.js and Graphql is a bonus
Demonstrated knowledge of managing code with Git
Strong knowledge of and experience using API web services (REST)
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and how to use them in practice
Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests
Experience in agile development
Strong people skills, specifically in collaboration and teamwork
University degree in computer science or a similar technical discipline
