The Private Asset Client Portfolio Management team is part of the Private Asset group that has over $37 billion in assets across Private Structured Credit, Residential Mortgage Credit, Single Family Rental Debt and Private Equity strategies.  The Private Asset Client Portfolio Management team is responsible for product strategy and overseeing the management of the various Private Asset portfolios for MIM clients, adhering to the investment guidelines that were developed by MIM and the client.  The team pursues new clients by participating in client pitches and presentations and preparing RFP responses.  The team works alongside Private Asset teams, who are responsible for deal origination and credit monitoring and are supported by MIM Operations, Legal, and Compliance.  The team also works with MIM’s Institutional Client Group (ICG) by providing asset class expertise in support of their sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop an understanding of the client’s business, investment objectives, and investment guidelines.
Work closely with Private Asset teams to understand the market, new opportunities, and issues affecting the client’s portfolio.
Prepare quarterly client reporting package.
Update and maintain Private Asset pitch books.
Support ad hoc projects and information requests.
Work closely with ICG, and the Private Asset sectors to assist with marketing to existing and new clients.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

Minimum 2 years in private credit, insurance asset management, or project management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several different projects at once.
Client-focused orientation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior writing, analytical, and quantitative skills.
Strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills including slide design and development, spreadsheets, pivot tables, and graphs/charts.
Motivated team player.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree Required, but preferred in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Math, Statistics, Liberal Arts, or a related field of study.  MBA or Master’s preferred.
