What you will do
• Efficiently manage prosecution of a large and active patent docket. Maintain communication with R&D to ensure patent claims track product formulations.
• Analyze invention disclosures to determine if sufficient information is available to draft a patent application. Collaborate with R&D partners to obtain additional data to support new patent application filings.
• Attend R&D meetings and presentations to identify new innovations and advise on patent strategies.
• Draft chemical patent applications in support of new innovations and product developments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry or Organic Chemistry Required.
• Chemical industry background and experience
• At least 4 years Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Experience managing a large global patent portfolio and effectively maintaining/managing a large patent docket.
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Patent Bar Admission.
• Ability to be a pro-active team player and partner effectively with internal clients in a collaborative environment to achieve stated business objectives.
• Ability to convert complex patent concepts into useful business guidance.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business matters.
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
