ITW is seeking an IT Business Analyst – based in Glenview, IL, USA - to engage our corporate functional partners seeking to take advantage of technology to further the effectiveness of their operations. The Analyst will work with a small team responsible for consistent and meaningful engagement with each function. Engagement will consist of strategic, solutioning/delivery and support components. The ideal candidate will quickly build relationships with their functional clients and in parallel develop familiarity with their client’s existing solutions. The Analyst will build similar familiarity with Corporate IT’s operations, service offerings, and philosophy to effectively represent those considerations to their functional clients. When the functional and IT foundational knowledge is in place, the successful Analyst becomes the trusted advisor and advocate for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Own the business relationship management with the assigned corporate functions on behalf of Corporate IT
Build a network of key subject matter experts and process owners within the assigned corporate functions
Understand the active and upcoming strategies for the corporate function, identify where IT engagement will be required or should be a strong consideration – viewed as a knowledgeable consultant with a business mindset
Develop familiarity and expertise with the existing deployed solutions for each assigned corporate function, leverage the gained expertise to influence strategy and planning, plus provide recommendations and/or input into functional decisions
Develop familiarity with the operational rhythms of each assigned corporate function to identify potential change impacts of forthcoming Corporate IT initiatives effectively, negotiate timing with functional and IT stakeholders
Develop familiarity with ITW’s IT Cyber Security Policy and other compliance requirements, periodically review the potential impacts to existing and prospective solutions
Leadership and coordination of IT resources and services in support of a functional project or initiative, provide advocacy on behalf of the function when escalation within IT is required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field of study
Minimum 3 years of experience post-graduation
Microsoft Office 365 or corresponding collaboration tool experience required including: Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams
Additional Microsoft Office 365 experience or familiarity desired: Power Platform (Applications, Automate, Business Intelligence)
Demonstrated business relationship experience, strong customer service orientation
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Excellent executive functioning: prioritization, planning, timely execution, and communication
Self-starter, humble, self-aware in alignment with ITW’s culture
