The Role at a Glance:

This Analyst, Portfolio Management role will be responsible for analyzing and reporting of the General Account investment portfolio and supporting portfolio managers in their day-to-day management of the fixed income portfolio. You will extract and appropriately summarize investment data, including developing visuals to facilitate business decisions. You will also participate in the preparation of committee level communication and presentations. Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of your assigned area(s) of responsibility.

What you'll be doing:

Provides support to Portfolio Managers in daily management and oversight of General Account fixed income portfolios.
Monitors investment guidelines and investment strategies to discern and communicate valuable information to Portfolio Managers.
Creates, edits, and contributes to a broad range of communications and presentations for internal and external audiences regarding the investment portfolio.
Analyzes, monitors, and reports on capital efficient investment results and strategies within the investment portfolio.
Develops and enhances reporting and analyzes results of the investment portfolios.
Generates standard reports and analyzes model scenarios to support internal and external stakeholders’ decision making.
Responds to data requests proactively by independently selecting appropriate data/information, aggregating data, and developing visuals based on understanding of various assets.
Serves as a resource to team members on assignments and projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

What we’re looking for:

4 Year / Bachelor's degree
CFA charter holders or candidates working towards this certification are preferred
Prior experience in investments, portfolio analysis, investment research, or work experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
Able to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to solve problems, evaluate trends in data, and apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
Ability to gain collaboration among stakeholders, and influence outcomes
Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
High level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to quality

Computer skills:

Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in Bloomberg, Factset, Tableau and/or programming skills a plus
