Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

The Campaign Privacy Analyst - Data role involves management support for the development of data governance processes and procedures. 

Campaign Privacy Analyst - Data  will assist in the development and management governance practices related consumer/customer personal information.  The candidate will contribute to the functional implementation of the data governance framework and work as a liaison among business stakeholders in the maintenance of data governance repository, sharing data governance policies and procedures, and facilitating effective data management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Compliance & Data Privacy Education - Possess and maintain subject matter expertise of global and local privacy laws and regulations such as LGPD, GDPR, CCPA, etc. supporting education efforts to a global audience of stakeholders.

Monitor adherence to the privacy program and any local or business-specific privacy requirements (e.g., CCPA, LGPD, GDPR, etc.).

Identify improvement opportunities within the corporate functions' privacy program and overall protection of personal information

Perform privacy risk assessments, ensuring issues are documented and tracked to closure.

Identify, investigate, and remediate privacy incidents and breaches in a timely manner consistent with program requirements

Develop and maintain periodic reporting of privacy program components

Assist in the development and delivery of training and awareness sessions to reinforce strong privacy protection practices within the corporate functions

Lead privacy related investigations and breaches

Report on privacy and compliance activities 

Maintain knowledge and understanding of internal processes, procedures, and IT control policies 

Education

Bachelors' degree or higher in related field, such as Business, Administration, Information Technology or a Juris Doctorate.  

Study emphasis in business, IT, legal or project management

Privacy certifications, such as CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM, are highly preferred.

Information Security certifications such as CISSP and CISM

Minimum Qualifications

Displays good business acumen

Demonstrates high standards of ethical conduct, behavior, and integrity.

Demonstrates ability to operate in a highly sensitive environment ensuring protection of confidential and private information

Develops credibility based on trust and respect

Hard working, reliable and professionally minded

Demonstrates working knowledge with MS-Office suite of software applications, including:  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Experience with Visio and Outlook is a plus

Experience with the use of MS SharePoint is a plus

Related Work Experience

In addition to education requirements, the candidate must have 3-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of privacy principles, risks, and regulations.

Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities

Ability to influence and lead without direct authority

Strong track record of building robust internal and external connections and relationships

Demonstrated ability to communicate to business leaders.
