Job Description

Job Purpose:

Assembles and installs a variety of PC electronic components per customer requirements as defined in build instructions. Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned: wiring, component installation, cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units. Extensive knowledge of the organization, job content, practices and procedures. Significant ingenuity is expected to recommend solutions to complex problems. Will manage job assignments for other assemblers.

Responsibilities:

Hands on working in production 50% of working hours. I.E. Assembles and configures a variety of PC hardware, and peripherals assembling PC electronic components, installing circuit boards, disk drives, mass storage devices and peripheral equipment and or other related components
Mastery knowledge of the position and how it affects the organization.
Specialized knowledge and full mastery of the job content, practices and procedures.
Develops process improvement on a wide variety of tasks.
Consistently works on highly complex problems requiring independent action and decision making.
Must determine best course of action to resolve problems and frequently makes recommendations for improvement.
Work is performed under little or no guidance and assigned in the form of broad objectives.
Significant ingenuity is expected to recommend solutions to complex problems.
Frequently interacts with management, external contacts and other work groups.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

>5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience is required.
Required Education: High School Graduate
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Able to demonstrate complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
Able to collaborate and build solid, effective working relationships with others.
Able to be standing / walking for long extended periods.
Able to use relevant computer systems and applications at an advanced level.

Working Conditions:

Distribution center environment may include (but not limited to): exposure to extreme temperatures; high noise levels; high places; wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions.
