Job Objective:
Act as Site Facilities Engineer delivering direct support to operations and maintenance in the Hilcorp North Slope Power & Gas Plants – Central Gas Facility and Central Compressor Plant. The ideal candidate with have oil & gas process engineering experience
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide facilities engineering support to operations including as appropriate: Pressure vessels, Piping systems and valves, Heat exchangers, Fired heaters, Storage tanks, Rotating equipment, Mechanical protective devices, PSVs, etc.
Provide engineering support to ensure any repairs related to inspection findings, fitness for service evaluations or other performance anomalies are in compliance with industry codes, regulations, and Hilcorp specifications.
Specify mechanical design specifications and construction standards for new and replacement equipment within scope.
Provide engineering support in development and technical endorsement of Facilities MOCs.
Approves facility modifications, installation, decommissioning, and other related changes as needed.
Engage and manage outside facilities engineering support (consultants and/or Engineering firms) on an as-needed basis, as agreed with the Operations Manager.
Support Incident Investigations, Process Hazard Analyses, and other process safety related functions as a SME for Facilities.
Process safety resource for the facilities. Key contact for Process Safety and Integrity teams.
Establishment and monitor performance management metrics/KPIs.
Manage scope, and schedules for all assigned projects. Hold self and others accountable for accomplishing tasks on time.
Streamline procedures, employ new technologies, and develop innovative strategies to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure alignment with Hilcorp policies and practices and applicable codes, recommended practices, and all government regulations.
Support operations staff in evaluation and optimization of existing equipment.

Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Work directly with Optimization team and Asset System Optimization Engineers to identify and analyze Gas Plant projects for highest sustainable, economic value.

Qualifications:
Five (5) years minimum Ten (10) years desired oil and gas experience with heavy emphasis on troubleshooting gas & liquid processing, rotating equipment, and I&C issues.
Experience with low/high pressure gas, oil, Miscible Injectant (MI EOR Process), H2S, and NGL production. This includes experience in gas turbine and compressor operations and monitoring.
Experience in reading and in creating block flow diagrams, P&IDs, data sheets, and specifications.
Experience with pipelines, flowlines, separation, compression, water handling, SCADA, chemical injection, metering and instrumentation.
Ability to demonstrate strong, dynamic team leadership skills.
Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in interpreting production related data. Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Thorough understanding of equipment design, fabrication and installation practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special ability to translate complex technical information into an organized and presentable manner.
Outstanding management, administrative and organizational skills.
Self-directed and comfortable working with minimal supervision. Ability to work established work schedule.
Knowledge of applicable codes and industry regulations for oil and gas facilities, including familiarity with North Slope oil & gas operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.). Able to learn company specific applications.
Knowledge of process simulation software and ability to perform process simulations, PSV calculations, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with Hilcorp personnel and contractors.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
Valid Driver’s License and driving record free of violations in order for company to secure automobile insurance for the employees.
Education Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid State Driver’s License.
