Job Description

Understanding in all areas of the front office and responsible for working in each area which includes working on Accounts receivable, posting pt and insurance payments, billing pts and insurance, pt registration, handling phone calls, maintaining business supplies, maintaining up front collections log, checking for and correcting clearing house errors, accurate and timely preparation and submission claims, pt scheduling, verifying pt benefits, contacting pts for pre-registration, assist with end of month reporting, maintaining medical records, follow up on physicians complete dictation, enters coding into Advantx, completes coding audit, works closely with dr offices to ensure all op notes and path reports are signed by the DR, follow up calls to ins for payment, helps office manager

Education: 

Required:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

Preferred:

• Desirable characteristics include at least one (1) year of experience; preferred experience includes either a medical office or acute care facility setting.
• Promotes positive relationships.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Must be able communicate in English both verbally and written
