SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the shipping, receiving, warehousing, and conducting inventory counts of all materials needed for plant operations while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the warehouse process, accurate record keeping, and staffing. Specific responsibilities include checking daily production schedules, verifying on-hand inventory, tracking shipments and ensuring all compliance standards are met. Additionally, the position is responsible for knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to TEAM members, providing encouragement to TEAM members in order to build the best TEAM possible, and the critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retraining, and counseling on personal and professional problems. Other duties include completing all paperwork associated with payroll, new hires, vacation, etc.; scheduling of team member workloads; administering policies and guidelines and ensuring standard operating procedures are being followed which are established by OSHA and Tyson Foods, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises to include safely operating the yard shuttle truck.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Shipping and/or Receiving experience is required. Computer Skills: Moderate computer skills are required to perform daily tasks in SAP and EIM systems. Communication Skills: Must have good communication skills to speak in front of large groups and one on one to conduct daily safety meetings and necessary training with all Team Members. Also, must be able to effectively correspond with logistical contacts to ensure timely arrival of ingredients and outgoing loads. Other Skills: Maintain a good driving record. Must be willing and able to operate the yard shuttle truck. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel with varying work tasks and activities. Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
