Summary of the role:
Candidate will be responsible for marketing BBVA's foreign exchange capabilities to financial institutions including asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, banks, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds and mutual funds. The geographic areas of expertise are the USA and Canada.
Education-experience:
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the foreign exchange market in an institutional sales trading capacity.
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel is required.
Deep knowledge of markets with specific experience in Latin America and the G-5 foreign exchange markets. Personal relationships with asset managers strongly preferred.
Experience liaising with internal departments to support the negotiation of legal documentation for foreign exchange and derivatives contracts.
Responsibilities:
Transact currency spot, forward and other derivative transactions with institutional investor clients.
Onboard real money and other clients.
Provide market feedback and trade support to other team members when necessary.
Answer detailed questions about relevant markets with respect to regulatory changes, economics and political issues. Relay BBVA strategists’ and economists’ recommendations.
Manage and resolve trade settlement problems.
Detailed relative analysis should be provided to clients on a regular basis.
Generation of trade ideas is mandatory.
