WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary engineering curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Our Boston and Chelmfords offices are seeking Intern Engineers for Summer 2023 in the following areas: Roadway, Railroad Signals, Bridge, Aviation, Structures, Hydrology, Rail, Planning, and Traffic.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Roadway, Structures, Planning, and Traffic Engineering Intern
Perform basic engineering calculations
Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
Assist other engineers in various tasks and duties
Civil Engineering Intern
Perform basic engineering calculations
Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
Assist other engineers in various tasks and duties
Rail Engineering Intern
Assist in preparation of design documents for trackwork, including alignments, specifications, criteria, details, and estimates
Assist in preparation of proposals and contracts
Project communications and documentation
Satisfy client requirements and expectations
Coordinate work efforts with others
Water Resources Engineering Intern
Assist in development of water resources reports
Perform basic engineering calculations
Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
Assist other engineers in various tasks and duties
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Completion of 2 years of post-secondary engineering program
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
