Reporting to the Head of Legal, Privacy, in this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of complex legal projects. Your work will include providing legal advice to all business units within the company, including contract review and negotiation of privacy and data protection clauses in procurement, agent, partner, and other types of contracts. Also, you will be providing privacy legal advice on new and existing products to advise the company on its obligations under applicable privacy, data protection, AI, cybersecurity, and related laws and regulations and to advise on identifying and mitigating privacy and data protection risks. Moreover, you will be advising and representing the company in investigating and resolving significant complaints, and disputes, at hearings and trials, as necessary, also monitoring, researching, and advising on new and emerging privacy and data protection legislation, guidance, and case law.

For such a significant role, minimum requirements include a law degree, and at least 5 years of experience in the field of privacy and data protection law. Preferred requirements include privacy and data protection knowledge and skills developed through 5-10+ years of work experience in privacy and data protection law or a related field, strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations in the USA, Canada and Brazil, and are a confident communicator.
