Job Description
Position Purpose:
We are looking for a generalist who is excited by the algorithmic trading space. You’ll help operate our trading strategies, automate backoffice tasks, build new tools, test software changes, and respond to customer support inquires. We’ll work with you to develop expertise in market microstructure and tick data. Candidate should be able to quickly analyze issues, formulate effective resolution plans and communicate efficiently with the team and broader stakeholders. This position is hybrid-remote with 3 days per week in our downtown Chicago office.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Operate algorithmic trading software
Cover and observe trading w/ the ability to quickly cover positions if needed
Perform complex investigations, troubleshooting and problem-solving
Write scripts to automate back-office tasks
Create software tools to improve operations and data analysis
Quality Assurance testing on software updates
Assist with system configuration to establish new strategies and improve existing ones
Establishes and maintains relationships with various counterparties

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field preferred
Some Java, Python, or C# strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years practical work experience but trading experience is not required
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
