Better requires process, discipline, and simplification
We’ll be looking for you to deliver products and services that will delight our customers. You will be working on new and existing platforms and technology tools in an Agile development environment. This includes the Western Union payments platforms, transaction processing, through settlement and operations support. You will be responsible to develop and implement new software as well as maintain and improve existing software with a focus on code optimization and organization. In addition, you will troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.
Ideally, you will have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field together with 8 plus years of software development experience with J2EE full stack. You will have knowledge of architecture design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques, logical and physical database architectures and operating systems. You will also have demonstrated experience with Containers and Microservices. You will also have expert level experience with Java including Collections, Multi-Threading and Streaming. Experience in Lean, Agile and Iterative development methodologies is also desirable.
