Job Description

Your Responsibilities

Leads and manages the day-to-day activities of a distributed QA Team.
Sets clear expectations with QA Testers and monitors progress towards goal completion.
Works in concert with the VP of Engineering to plan, coordinate, and execute testing and deployments.
Identifies risks and create plans to mitigate them.
Creates and manages risk assessments and testing strategies. Provides status updates to the VP of Engineering.
Oversees defect reporting, ticketing, bug tracking.
Tests everything, documents the issues, and works cross functionally to get it fixed.
Searches for new and innovative ways to improve current processes to make them more efficient.
Performs automated component testing for online applications, back-end systems, mobile apps, IoT hardware and embedded devices.
Performs load and scalability testing.
Creates, enhances, and maintains the library of automated test cases.
Works with Product and Software Engineering Teams to create test plans and scenarios that ensure a high-quality product is delivered.
Produces excellent documentation.

Qualifications

7+ years of QA experience required.
4+ years of software test automation for Web and App testing.
2+ years’ experience successfully leading QA Teams.
Strong experience developing automated test plans, testing strategies, and creating risk assessments.
Specific expertise with Selenium and/or Cypress and JIRA is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent.
Expertise with Web-based & Mobile App Testing.
Expertise with Java, and JavaScript is strongly preferred.
Experience with IoT or Imbedded Device Testing is strongly preferred.
Able to work with RMQ, Contained Application Deployments (Docker), SQL and NoSQL-based Database Architectures, and applications and services hosted on AWS.
Have a Functional & Scalable Working Knowledge of Linux.
