Job Description

Position Summary

The Contract Specialist is responsible for processes and procedures related to executing short form marketing agreements with external counterparties.  This individual will also manage daily reporting in certain Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) systems.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Follow written procedures on processing and storing confirmations.
Ensure Market Risk Policy adherence.
Manage daily processes related to trading and marketing confirmations and contractual agreements.
Prepare marketing confirmations, for commercial management review and execution.
Validate incoming confirmations and contracts against ETRM entries.
Resolve confirmation discrepancies; communicate with marketers and counterparties as necessary.
Maintain complete, organized electronic files of confirmations, contracts, and other commercial transaction documents (e.g., ISDAs and GT&Cs).
Generate reports for managing contract expiration dates and other critical information.
Validate monthly external prices against ETRM system prices.
Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize a wide variety of tasks with proven organizational and time-management skills.
Keen attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills.
Ability to follow direction and adhere to structured steps in a procedure.
Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines for multiple priorities.
Must be dependable with a stable work history.
Ability to maintain stability under pressure; be flexible, and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.
Ability to demonstrate ownership of areas of responsibility.
Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers to be a positive representative both internally and externally.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessments, identifying service level expectations, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Demonstrated professional interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be committed to working safely at all times.

Experience/Education:

High school diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience in an energy trading environment is preferred.
Experience with OpenLink’s RightAngle is beneficial.

Travel:

Negligible travel required.

The Liquids segment supplies natural gas liquids to retailers, wholesalers, refiners, and petrochemical plants in the United States and Canada through its 21 terminals, as well as offers terminaling and storage services. The Retail Propane segment sells propane, distillates, and equipment and supplies to end users consisting of residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers, as well as resellers.

The Refined Products and Renewables segment markets gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and biodiesel products; and purchase and delivers refined petroleum and renewable products. This segment also purchases and markets unfinished gasoline blending components for subsequent blending into finished gasoline for third parties. NGL Energy Holdings LLC serves as the general partner of the company. The company was founded in 1940 and is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
