Job Details:

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for a variety of technical tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electrical components on production machinery.  Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules (ie. Lockout/Tagout).  Must be able to comply with OSHA standards.  Must be able to read manufacturing manuals for repair purposes, read work orders and enter information on a computer SAP system which include but not limited to entering issues pertaining to the job and information that describes action taken to fix equipment. The Maintenance Generalist diagnoses and trouble-shoots electrical problems related to processing equipment.  Disassembles machines and repair or replace broken parts.  Repairs or replace electrical motors and controls.  Does electrical lay-out work for special projects. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on electrical equipment.   Maintain knowledge of USDA and QC standards pertinent to maintenance activities.  Maintains records of electrical work as required.   Assists other Maintenance personnel as needed. 

Requirements:

The maintenance position requires minimum competencies in following areas:  Industrial Electrical Systems – identify on schematic, Circuit – wire 120-Volt Duplex Receptacle, two-way lighting, three-way lighting, four-way lighting, Split-Wired Outlet Circuit – wire 1 circuit, Applications Circuits – wire 1 circuit, Current Measurements, Voltage Drops, and Hot/Cold Resistance – show 1 each of these.

Must not have 5 or more attendance points.  Must not have any written warnings against them within last 6 months.  Must not have any written suspensions within last 12 months.  Must not be on LOA.  If on probation, must not have any absences.
