Responsibilities:
Responsible for booking deposits into PeopleSoft for Cash Applications departmental cash posting
Work closely with the Cash Management/Financial Shared Services (FSS) team to identify and correct cash reconciliation items
Update the Bank Account Reconciliation (BAR) document daily
Remotely deposit checks into the appropriate bank accounts (includes non-AR and last day deposits for the Accounting Shared Services Center (APAR) – (provide copies of checks to various locations for journal entries after preparation & approval)
Communicate with subsidiaries on questionable bank items
Contact the bank for deposit discrepancies (i.e. incorrect payees, encoding errors, etc.)
Maintain lockbox daily totals for various GPC subsidiaries- EIS, GPCHQ and DCAR
Email EDI and bank reports to third party vendors
Download, save and print bank statements
Prepare bank statements for scanning into Imaging Software-OpenText
Complete cash account write-offs when applicable
Contact Network Services/bank when .csv or BAI files are missing
Transfer funds daily to GPC retail locations- HERR/Quaker City Minority Stores
Complete and distribute daily updates via Transactis
Sort live checks and provide to the Mailroom for bank submission
Any additional duties assigned by Compliance Supervisor/Management
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivables
Excellent data entry and 10 key skills (accuracy and speed a must)
JD Edwards and/or PeopleSoft experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
General accounting knowledge
Strong math aptitude
Ability to meet deadlines
Good research and resolution skills
