Partner Manager

The role will be part of the Partner Management team within Marsh's US Affinity organization, focused on growing Marsh’s presence in the commercial segment through use of digital products & partnerships. Responsibilities

Client Facing

Gather, prioritize and manage product and customer requirements
Ensure a strong customer-centric and outside-in focus by establishing a sound design thinking process and feedback loop
Define and manage the product vision for the client and associated roadmap
Work closely with the delivery owners to refine, and prioritize product backlogs
Work closely with sales, compliance, legal, privacy, marketing, placement and other teams to ensure all revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
Become the subject matter expert with respect to client needs
Become an expert with respect to the competition and industry trends
Shape a learning agenda to uncover opportunities and validate customer needs
Ideate new product constructs, build business cases, and champion the most promising ideas to gain executive buy-in
Take a disciplined and analytical approach toward measuring client / product success by defining customer/business focused metrics and the required infrastructure to measure ongoing progress
Collaborate across the business on new product development opportunities
Work closely with Marsh business units to identify clients for digital implementation

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to develop relationships and work with various internal and external business partners
Ability to clearly negotiate expectations with colleagues at different levels in the organization (including executive management)
Develop structured and impactful presentation materials for discussions with business and leadership
Capacity to work in an entrepreneurial manner within a team environment
Work closely with internal and external business partners to develop and continuously refine product roadmaps based on a comprehensive understanding of changing client/customer needs, industry dynamics, and business objectives

Job Qualifications

5-10 years of work experience of product management
Bachelor’s degree required
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, critical thinking
Industry background in insurance highly preferred (underwriting, brokerage, commercial lines, product management )
Hands-on experience leading product delivery in an Agile environment is strongly recommended
Excellent influencing and oral/written communication skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Highly collaborative work style with ability to work in a team environment & independently
People skills with experience in attracting, coaching, and mentoring teams
Strong ability to paint an inspiring vision and bring others along on the journey
Customer centric mindset
Experience in customer empathy, including design thinking, customer journey/persona development, and hypothesis-driven test and learn a plus
