Job Description

BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY

The Water Engineer provides business planning, well performance monitoring, project management and opportunity exploitation associated with managing the performance and growth of water assets. Works under minimal supervision.
 
EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
 
EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in oil and gas production practices
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain onshore oil and gas water infrastructure
• Monitor operating expenses to identify and control high-cost areas 
• Prepare annual volume and expense budgets
• Monitor well performance and production volumes to maintain and improve operations
• Ensure that field operations are being conducted in compliance with all applicable state/province and federal laws and regulations
• Interact daily with Foremen, operators, service companies, landowners, and regulatory agency personnel
• Prepare authorizations for expenditures and procedures for new well completions as well as remedial well work
• Provide engineering and planning necessary for drilling and completions water operations
• Management of chemical programs
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Practice safe work habits at all times

• Knowledge in state/province and federal regulatory laws and regulations 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems
• Able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
• Efficient time management and the ability to concurrently handle multiple projects 
• Intermediate level computer skills
• Able to travel as required 
• Able to work extended hours
