Ecolab has an opening for a Senior Marketing Manager within the Global Strategic Marketing team of our Nalco Water Mining Division. The Senior Marketing Manager will be a versatile role driving growth and profitability of the Phosphates and Potash business globally. Within this role, you will contribute to profitable sales growth of the business by supporting the creation and implementation of strategies and plans that differentiate Ecolab from its competitors.

What You Will Do:
This Strategy & Innovation focused role will oversee, but not be limited to, three key areas (listed below). In Mining we are a dynamic and agile team, that supports customer needs which at times could include taking on assignments, as needed to support both the ITC team as well as the Business Development team.
Strategy & Innovation – key focus areas:
o Strategic Planning & Business Prioritization
• Own and optimize the Phosphate & Potash product portfolio allowing for maximum revenue and OI deliver YOY
• Conduct market based and data based competitive analysis feed into strategic business review and business plan for Fertilizers
o Drive Ideation and Innovative Thinking & Leadership for Strategic Innovation
• Develop and execute on the overarching innovation strategy for Fertilizers while leading the phase gate process with a cross functional team including:
? Create, evaluate and analyze proposals for innovative ideas, new lines of business and program solutions that address customer problems
• Ideation:
? Initiate and conduct Voice of Customer methods for new projects.
? Collaborate with industry technical consultants, sales management and regional teams to determine project needs
• Identification & Justification:
? Work closely with RD&E, finance and sales to collaborate on ideas, scope of work, priorities and identify needs and risks.
? Write business justification and evaluation plans for ideas as they come into the system.
• Develop 5-Year marketing and business plans for projects with marketing and sales.
• Develop and lead presentations to Gatekeepers for approval of projects.
o Active Regional Engagement and Support
• Partner with regional commercial and technical teams to grow and achieve pipeline targets
• Support regional strategy creation
• Support regional reviews
• Facilitate cross-regional knowledge transfer in pursuit of growth
Demonstrated leadership in additional areas:
o Work closely with Digital Marketing to drive differentiation and enable connected chemistry
o Work closely with Marketing Operations to provide business requirements needing Supply Chain and Procurement support
o Stay current on market standards, trends and practices and understand impact on Ecolab product line and business
o Participate in professional organizations and attend seminars, technical symposiums, and trade shows to uncover growth opportunities and promote Nalco Water's position in the market
o Ensure accurate representation of Ecolab to the community with regards to product specific regulations and information
o Leverage cross functional groups to couple knowledge of customer needs with existing and future technology capabilities
