Job Summary
Seeking a Software Engineer with shown experience of planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
About Tools and Infrastructure Engineering (TIE) Shared Services
The goal in TIE is to provide teams with tools that help deliver and manage their systems. In Shared Services, this entails creating and maintaining infrastructure services and platforms that app teams can use as services.

Other DevOps engineers to understand their use cases so that we can build tools and processes to simplify their workflow.
Domain experts to identify standard methodologies for implementing our products and services.
Organization architects to share solution designs and gather feedback on higher-level goals.
Cybersecurity to ensure our solutions are adhering to security standards, and enabling other teams to meet security standards.
What are some interesting problems you’ll be working on?
Creating solutions to enable secure, hardened, and patchable OS images running on multiple platforms, including physical hardware, private clouds, and public clouds.
Enabling other teams to deploy and configure their VM based workloads.
Designing solution using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container technologies.
Opportunity to use new technologies and platforms.
Core Responsibilities
Analyzes and resolves integration needs.
Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.
Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under development and the customization of current applications.
Edits and reviews technical requirement's documentation.
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
Knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
Displays ability to apply process design and redesign skills.
Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to app, project management skills.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Available to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Preferred Skills:
This position is for an Infrastructure Engineering team. We combine Infrastructure as Code with Software Development methodologies to deliver services and tools for DevOps teams related to Operating System Security and Patching applying some of the following:
