The Channel Interactive Technology team manages a suite of systems and tools that enable world-class in-store demo experiences for millions of Apple customers worldwide. The Platform Development team is responsible for the demo content over-the-air (DCOTA) roadmap, in addition to a suite of on-device applications. As a Manager, Platform Development Product & Engineering, you will lead the team responsible for defining how our platforms and tools must evolve in order to deliver an extraordinary customer experience. This position requires a leader who can do the following - deeply understand the customer, work very well cross-functionally, see around corners, synthesize large amounts of complex technical information, and provide direction to a team responsible for multiple concurrent initiatives.

Key Qualifications

2+ years experience managing people
Experience working with and/or leading Engineering Program Managers and/or technical PMs
Strong communications proficiency, with experience pitching and influencing partners
Experience with requirements gathering and process mapping with a demonstrated ability to articulate and prioritize customer needs
Global problem solver who performs well in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
Experience in designing functional testing, and writing test cases
Understanding of software development and the QA lifecycle
Proven leadership skills, with an ability to work with minimal direction and inspire cross-functional team members
Experience identifying gaps in the requirements or testing processes and generating solutions for continuous improvement
Experience with different project management philosophies and product development ideologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Design Thinking

Description

Your responsibilities will entail:

- Lead the product roadmap for demo content over-the-air (DCOTA)

- Mentor and develop a team of passionate and dedicated Engineering Program Managers

- Implement program & product governance including standardized timelines and feature status updates

- Step in, as needed, to drive communication with Core OS and IS&T Engineering development teams

- Drive quality out of the team including figuring out appropriate briefing process, feature kick-offs, radar tracking and follow-up actions

- Address first level issues for EPM team needs and relevant QA customer concerns
