Your role

Are you able to see risks that others sometimes miss and have a desire to fix them? Do you come from a risk background? Do you have the skills to analyze data, perform in-person office inspections, identify red flags, and communicate your findings in a precise and impactful manner?

We’re looking for a business risk manager who can:

• engage with colleagues at all levels regarding business continuity and resilience procedures and policies in a highly dynamic environment to contribute to a reduction of operational risks
• review and research business continuity activities to identify red flag issues and determine compliance with firm and regulatory rules, policies and procedures
• develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC Resilience guidelines as well as the company's own written policies, guidelines and frameworks
• pro-actively communicate with colleagues located globally
• identify opportunities to improve our processes

You’ll be working in the Business Continuity and Resilience team in New York. We provide a framework of processes that helps UBS safeguard employees and staff, the interest of our stakeholders. As a Business Risk Manager, you’ll play an important role in protecting our interests and our ability to continue our value creating activities.

Your expertise

• BCM knowledge with proven experience of delivering BCM programs in the financial services sector is a plus but not necessary. Knowledge of Operational Risk concepts and ideas with an understanding of how to mitigate risks preferred
• technical experience with Power Point, and data manipulation within Excel required
• proven experience of senior management engagement and relationship management
• inquisitive, able to challenge effectively and manage conflicting stakeholder needs
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
