Job Details

Seeking a professional Security Officer to provide security services for hospital staff, patients and visitors. Duties may include but are not limited to: patrolling hospital buildings and grounds, securing property, greeting/screening visitors and responding appropriately to emergency situations, etc.

Skills and Responsibilities Required:

* Serves as the first point of contact for all visitors and employees that enter the building

Ability to communicate effectively with the general public, guests, management and team members.

Prepare detailed reports and keep comprehensive daily logs using a computer. Intermediate computer skills required to utilize the various technology on site.

Ability to provide exceptional customer service by anticipating needs, offering directions and exceeding expectations.

Ability to conduct foot patrols and sit/stand for long periods of time with reasonable accommodations.

Maintain, understand and adhere to the standard operating procedures, post orders, emergency policies and regulations.

Monitor site specific CCTV cameras in a continuous fashion to observe anything out of the ordinary.

Ability to perform duties in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance.

Ability to make good judgment decisions in accordance with Shriners Hospitals for Children Security policy and procedures.

Maintain and monitor “Fast Pass”, Shriners Hospitals for Children Badging system.

Shifts are 3:00-11:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Job Requirements:

Previous security or equivalent experience required.  Criminal History education, military training or other skilled training preferred.
