Job Summary: 

The Director – Network Performance oversees the Expedited Load Planning and Pricing teams. This leader will support the team in maximizing the profitability of the Expedited network through elimination of waste, improved Asset Utilization, and increased Rate per Loaded Mile. In addition, tthey will provide long-term direction to the Sales, Pricing, and Customer Service teams on Network needs and market conditions. 

Job Responsibilities:

Monthly review of network to provide guidance to Sales, Customer Service, and Pricing to optimize the Expedited Network based on system yield, asset utilization, and rate per loaded mile.
Close partnership with Integrated Solutions to leverage 3rd party capacity when Load Planners are out of options for freight coverage. Additionally to source and secure business to be primarily covered by 3rd party capacity.
Champion Continuous Improvement and Network Optimization.
Tracking and trending management of key metrics, along with utilizing industry information and indices to ensure the Expedited network is outperforming competition.
Coach and develop Planning and Pricing teams to improve efficiency and profitability of the Expedited network.
Hold teams accountable to performance expectations.

Experience Required:

5+ years in the transportation Industry
AA or BA in relevant field highly preferred
Demonstrated sucess in managing high performance teams
