Job Responsibilities:
Project manager for global tax planning & strategy project:
Manage the tax planning process by evaluating, researching and implementing short and long-term tax savings strategies by collaborating with 3rd party subject matter experts and global internal resources across various functions.
Manage Tax Accounting process for international subsidiaries:
Prepare quarterly/annual tax provisions for certain foreign entities. This would include using OneSource tax provision or excel model. Additionally the position would require collaboration with the corporate tax accounting team as well as various global finance functions on various tax accounting projects.
Oversight of global repatriation, dividend and foreign tax credit process:
Manage planning, modeling and evaluating global tax implications of dividend and cash repatriation plans. This includes evaluating U.S. tax implications as well as global withholding tax positions. Analyze, advise and execute on the most tax efficient opportunities given the global tax legislative environment.
Serve as tax point person on M&A transactional activities:
Provide support to Tax Director on all acquisition matters including structuring, due diligence and implementation of tax strategies.
Provide support on tax research and technical issues:
Researches and advises on various technical matters as part of the planning process as well as issue resolution, strategy implementation and risk management.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree (required) in accounting, finance or economics and an advanced degree in taxation is preferred.
• An active CPA license is preferred. Training in international tax matters.
• Minimum of seven years of Tax experience
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead projects across various functions.
• Both Federal and International tax planning experience will be critical.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. income tax law, basic knowledge of accounting for income tax principals is a plus. Ability to present and discuss technical tax concepts to a non-tax audience.
